Jemez Storyteller Circa Date_1980s Blanket Revival Weaving with aThis charming Jemez storyteller pottery sculpture by Rose Pecos (Rose Pecos Sun Rhodes) features a seated grandmother surrounded by five grandchildren and two sheep. Hand coiled and painted with natural mineral pigments in warm, earthy tones, the piece incorporates traditional Jemez designs and reflects the warmth and vibrancy of oral tradition and family life. The mineral paints were made from materials gathered in Blue Canyon, Arizona. A signed work
