Post Mortem Daguerreotype Emotional Crying Mother Wearing Mourning Bands 1800s ship and the last CDV isOriginal sixth plate daguerreotype of a woman, wearing mourning bands and holding her deceased child across her lap. Her eyes appear as if she was actively or recently crying at the time of the sitting. Full, intact case. Nice and bright plate, sharp and with nice contrast.. better in hand than my scan shows. Overall in very good condition.. couple of tarnish spots and that mat abrasion on the left side.
